Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and whoever operates My Baby Log. By creating an account and using the app, you accept them. If you disagree with any of them, do not use the service.
1. Who we are
My Baby Log is operated by Giovanny Manchola, a natural person domiciled in Colombia. You can write to legal@mybabylog.net.
Personal data is handled under the Data processing policy, which forms part of these terms.
2. Who may use the service
- You must be at least 16 years old, or the minimum age your country's law requires if that is higher.
- To create a child's profile you must be their legal representative or act with their authorisation. By creating it, you declare that this is the case.
- You are responsible for making sure the other caregivers you invite understand and respect these terms.
3. Your account
- Register accurate details and keep them up to date.
- One account belongs to one person. Do not share it: to give someone else access to a child's information, invite them as a caregiver — that is exactly what the feature is for.
- Look after your credentials. Tell us as soon as you suspect someone has accessed your account.
- From Settings you can see every open session and close them.
4. This is not medical advice
My Baby Log is a record-keeping tool, not a medical device and not a healthcare service. Vaccination schedules, growth curves, reference ranges and any estimate or reminder the app shows are supporting information, not a diagnosis or a clinical recommendation, and may not fit a particular child's situation.
Decisions about a child's health are always made by a healthcare professional. In an emergency, call your country's emergency services — do not use this app.
5. Caregivers and permissions
Each child's profile has an owner, who decides who else has access and how much. Roles grant different levels of access, and access can be adjusted module by module.
- Inviting someone as a caregiver gives them real access to the child's information within the scope you assign. Invite only those who should have it.
- You can change a caregiver's role or remove their access at any time.
- Permission changes and sharing actions are kept in an audit history.
- Content a caregiver created stays in the child's history even after they lose access, attributed to their relationship.
6. Your content
What you upload — photos, notes, entries — remains yours. We claim no ownership of it. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the service: to store, process, back up and display it to the caregivers you have authorised. That permission ends when you delete the content, subject to the retention rules the Data processing policy sets out.
You undertake to upload only content you have the rights to. Publishing the image of a child who is not in your care, or of another person without their consent, is not allowed.
7. Community
Community is an optional feature, off unless you enable it for a specific child, because it shares that child's information beyond your direct caregivers. If you use it:
- Do not post illegal, violent, sexual, harassing, discriminatory or misleading content.
- Do not post information about children who are not in your care.
- Do not impersonate anyone, and do not use the service to spam.
- You can report content and block other people from inside the app.
We may remove content that breaks these rules and suspend the accounts responsible.
8. Service availability
The app works offline: you record what you need and it syncs once you are back on a network. Even so, the service is provided "as is", with no guarantee of uninterrupted or error-free operation. We may change, suspend or withdraw features, and will make reasonable efforts to give notice when a change matters.
Keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable to you, photographs above all.
9. Price
The service is offered at no cost today. If we introduce paid features in the future, we will say so clearly and in advance; nothing you use for free today will start being charged for without notice.
10. Termination
- You may stop using the service whenever you want and delete your account from the app's settings.
- We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, that puts other people or the service at risk, or where the law requires it. Unless that would be inappropriate, we will tell you and give you a chance to respond.
11. Liability
To the fullest extent applicable law allows, we are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits or data loss arising from use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not permit to be limited, nor any rights you have as a consumer.
12. Changes to these terms
If we change them, we will publish the new version here with its date. Where the change is substantial, the app will ask you to review and accept it before continuing.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by Colombian law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts of Colombia, without prejudice to the rights granted to you by the consumer protection rules of your country of residence.
