Delete your account and your data
This page explains how to request deletion of your My Baby Log account and the data associated with it. You can do it yourself from inside the app, or write to us if you no longer have access to it.
From the app
This is the fastest route and needs no message to us. In the app, go to Settings → Privacy & data → Delete my account and confirm.
If you still own a child's profile, the app will say so and will not let you continue: you first have to transfer each profile's ownership to another caregiver, or delete it. This exists so that a child's history never disappears without their family deciding it.
Without the app
If you have already uninstalled the app or cannot sign in, write to legal@mybabylog.net from the email address you registered with, saying that you want your account deleted. We need to verify that the request comes from the account holder before carrying it out.
We answer queries within a maximum of ten (10) business days and complaints within a maximum of fifteen (15) business days, under the terms of Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012.
What is deleted and what is kept
When you delete your account, your session ends immediately. For 30 days you can recover it by signing in again; after that the deletion is permanent.
| Data | What happens |
|---|---|
| Your account and identity — name, email and sign-in identifiers | Permanently deleted after the 30 days. |
| Sessions, devices and push notification tokens | Revoked immediately. |
| A child's profile that you delete | Hidden immediately and recoverable for 30 days. After that it is permanently deleted, photos included. |
| Audit records of permissions and sharing | Kept for 6 months, then deleted. |
| Internal deletion markers, needed to sync devices | Kept for 90 days. |
One consequence worth being clear about
Content you created about a child whom other caregivers still access does not disappear when you delete your account: it is that child's history, not your personal profile, and removing it would leave gaps in their family's information. What does disappear is its link to you: those entries stop being attributed to your name or email and are shown by your relationship alone, such as "former caregiver — grandmother".
